Jemma Cher is a Melbourne based vocalist whose performances are defined by maturity, sophistication, and remarkable vocal artistry. Despite being only 25 years old, Jemma has amassed extensive stage experience, shaping her into a captivating and accomplished performer.

Her exceptional talent was first recognised nationally when she won the 2014 Sing Loud competition, presented by Reconciliation Australia. Selected by judges Delta Goodrem and Gurrumul, the experience introduced Jemma to the unifying power of music and its ability to connect communities and inspire meaningful change.

Most recently, Jemma appeared as a featured soloist at Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight, broadcast live nationally on Channel 9 from Melbourne's iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Her recent album was named a semi-finalist in the 2025 International Songwriting Competition, following her success as a semi-finalist in the 2024 Unsigned Only Music Competition. Throughout her career, Jemma has headlined more than 200 solo performances, received four Performing Arts scholarships, won numerous competitions and eisteddfods, and reached the semi-finals of the Rob Guest Endowment Award at just 17 years of age.

Known for her expansive vocal range, effortless tone, and exceptional control, Jemma brings a distinctive voice to jazz, gospel, music theatre, and R&B repertoire. Her ability to blend technical precision with emotional authenticity has earned her a reputation as a versatile and compelling performer.

Jemma recently released her debut studio album, Let's Do It, available worldwide in both digital and physical formats. The album features acclaimed Australian musicians including Lior, Simon Starr, Ben Grayson, Daniel Farrugia, and Joshua Moshe, performing sophisticated new arrangements of classic repertoire. The album also features the original song I'll Stay, co-written by Jemma and her brother, Gideon Cher, showcasing her growing voice as a songwriter alongside her talents as a performer.
